The Project

Contemporary Roots is a project that connects craftsmanship,
place, and visual storytelling.

It starts in Tuscia, in central Italy,
but it is designed to speak beyond it.

What it is

Contemporary Roots is based on a simple idea: show contemporary craftsmanship inside historic locations.

Artisans and their products are photographed and filmed in places like villas and palaces in Tuscia.

The goal is to create images that are clean, strong, and usable.

Why it exists

Many small businesses have good products, but weak presentation.

This project helps them communicate better.

It gives them:

  • professional images
  • video content
  • a clear visual identity

All materials are designed to be used online and for press.

How it works

The project has three steps:

Selection
Artisans are selected through an open call.

Production
Photo and video shootings are created in historic locations.

Promotion
The content is used for website, social media, and international outreach.

The context

The locations are part of the project.

Places like historic villas and palaces are used to give strength to the images.

They are not decoration.
They help define the identity.

  • professional images
  • video content
  • a clear visual identity

All materials are designed to be used online and for press.
